An independent editorial platform for British dog owners who believe their dogs deserve better kit.
Nmgenbo was founded in 2019 by a group of dog owners who were tired of the same problem: too much mediocre gear, too little honest guidance. We'd spent years buying harnesses that broke, leads that frayed, and beds that deflated — all on the basis of marketing copy that bore little resemblance to reality.
So we decided to do something about it. We started testing dog gear the way it should be tested: in the field, in British weather, on real dogs with real temperaments. We write about what we find, honestly and without commercial pressure.
Our editorial team is based across the UK — from the Cotswolds to the Scottish Highlands — and between us we own eleven dogs of various breeds, sizes and personalities. Every piece of gear we review has been used by at least one of our dogs for a minimum of eight weeks before we write a word about it.
What We Believe
We believe that good dog gear is not a luxury. It is an investment in your dog's comfort, safety and wellbeing — and in the quality of your time together. A harness that fits properly, a lead that doesn't snap, a bed that actually supports an ageing dog's joints: these things matter.
We also believe that British dog owners deserve better than the race to the bottom that dominates most of the market. There are makers — some long-established, some newer — who are producing genuinely excellent gear. Our job is to find them and tell you about them.

We favour gear that lasts over gear that's cheap. Buy once, buy well.

Our editorial decisions are never influenced by commercial relationships. We do not accept payment for positive reviews. We do not review products we haven't tested. If we have a commercial relationship with a brand, we say so.
